US cancelled travel warning for Nepal.
United States of America has canceled travel warning that it had issued for US citizens preparing to visit Nepal. “In recognition of improved conditions in Nepal, the US Department of State has cancelled the travel warning that was most recently issued on January 12,” the US Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement on Wednesday.

Nepal's river trip on top rank in CNN's list

Nepal’s rafting package features in the 9th position in the list published on Nov 23. "Participants in this epic 15-day trip start in Kathmandu, and after acclimatizing to the dizzying altitude, trek for four days through scenic mountain passes from Pokhara to their river drop-off," CNN writes, adding, "Then you brave high-grade whitewater accompanied by a world-class expert, and camp each night on virgin river banks before reaching the splendor of Chitwan National Park."
Tourist arrivals cross half a million mark in 11 months
Nepal welcomed record half a million tourists via air over the first eleven months of 2011. According to Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office, a total of 501,264 visitors entered the country via air till November, 2011. “The last eleven months have seen consistent healthy growth of international tourist arrivals to Nepal at an average of 21.5 percent — around 1,518 visitors a day — to a record a historic high of 501,264,” Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said in a statement.

A young lady to Mt. Everest on 2012
In the coming spring, a very young Nepali lady will make an expedition on the Everest 8,848 meters to add a new record in the history of Mt.Everest. She is just about 16 years old and has been living in Boudha, kathamdnu, Nepal, since her parent came to kathmandu from their home village Solukhumbu , in 1998. She is a student. At first she had joined her school in her village and when she migrated to Kathmandu she has joined the school in Kathmandu. Now she is studying in at Kathmandu at Grade ten and preparing for her examination of final year of ten year's schooling, that is the examination of School Leaving certificate (SLC Board 2012).
