Dhaulagiri Region
Dhaulagiri region in western part of Nepal. Which is separated from Annapurna region by Kaligandaki river, making deepest gorge in the world. The word Dhaulagiri is combination of two words "Dhaula" and "Giri", which is originated from Sanskrit, where Dhaula means beautiful and Giri means the mountain. The world's 7th highest Mountain Dhaulagiri ( 8167 m / 26,795 ft) is the major mountain of this region and in this region there are around 40 peaks having more than 6000 meters. The journey to this region is little more adventurous although both trekking and mountaineering expedition is possible in this region. This region is suit for those people who wants to do little more adventurous journey.
