Mustang is a good trekking destination, Specially  most of trekkers visit to Upper Mustang, to visit Upper mustang . These are rain shadows area in the upper mountain range where the rain is rare commodity even in the monsoon season.we have to spend several days walking along the Kaligandagi valley to reach these high lands.The landscape will differ with high limestone to the Tibetan platue type of arid land.The cultural will be primarily Tibetan Buddhist with mani (Prayer) walls,Chorten and Monasteries.These treks are considered as the trek of a life time.Trekkers should have  special trekking permit. Even though foreign visitors have been allowed to the region since 1992, tourism to Upper Mustang is regulated. Most tourists travel by foot over largely the same trade route used in the 15th century.
