Mt. Everest Expedition 8,848 m


The crown of the world Mt. Everest / Sagarmatha ( 8848 m / 29,029 ft ) given its name " Everest " in the year 1865 by Royal Geographical society. It is called Sagarmatha in Nepalese and Jomolungma in Tibetan. In which Sagarmatha literally symbolies the " Head of sky". The name Sagarmatha is given to this mountain by Mr. Babu Ram Acharya A great Nepalese historic writer. It is located close to Nepal and Tibet border in Nepal side . It is raised in Mahalangur Himalayan range of khumbu region. The Way to base camp starts from Kathmandu flying to Lukla and follows the famous route Namche-Tyangboche- ghorakh shep and base camp. Mr. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa from Nepal and Sr. Edmund Hillary had made successful ascend on this world highest point in 29 may 1953. After this many of the mountaineers from different countries had made successful climb on this mountain. Now the Climbers have kept many world records on climbing it. Most of people use its South-East ridge to ascend to the top of Sagarmatha, which is normal route. It has some other routes too. About the group size , in one expedition group there is maximum fifteen members. The best season for the expedition is Spring and also autumn.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu
Day 02: Fly to Lukla ( 2840 m)& trek to Phakding ( 2610 m)
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Day 04: Acclimatization at Namche (3440 m)
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3860 m)
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4360 m)
Day 07: Acclimatization day at Dingboche (4360 m)
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (5018 m)
Day 09: Trek to Everest base camp (5364 m)
