Young lady started her Everest expedition today

The 16 year old Ngim Chhamji Sherpa started her Mt. Everest expedition today. This morning she flew from Kathmandu to Lukla with Agni Air. She is going to Everest with the High Adventure Expedition Everest 2012. Before leaving for the expedition she spoke with the Kantipur National Daily News and said that she is going on the expedition to make her dream come true. And to show other young women that they can achieve their dreams as well if they have willingness to pursue them.
Ms Chhamji left Kathmandu this morning in the company of her father, Everest summiter Mr. Dendi Sherpa, renowned Swiss alpinist Mr. Ueli Steck as well as famous American mountain climbing instructor Mr. Freddie Wilkinson. Other members of the expedition group had already left Kathmandu earlier on. There are 11 members in this expedition group in total, coming from Canada, Switzerland, the United States, Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

April 08: Kathmandu to Lukla and walk to Phakding
April 09: Walk to Namche Bazaar
April 10: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
April 11: Walk to Tyangboche
April 12: Walk to Pheriche
April 13 and inward: from Pheriche to Everest Base Camp
