Mera Peak 6421 m
Mera peak is one of the famous trekking peak having 6,654 meter elevation, which is located to the south side of Mt. Everest. The trek to its base camp starts with the flight to Lukla and follows the trail Chhutanga the group will reach to base camp. If we have more time and interested on trek to Shivalaya we have another option. We can drive to Jiri and trek to lukla then follow the way to Mera base camp. There are few other routes which have some high and very difficult passes one some other routes, it's the barriers to get to Mera Base camp. The route via Lukla- Chutanga and base camp is easier. From this route we walk through forest having rhododendron , pine and many other plants. We can see beautiful view of Mt. Cho- Oyu and Numbur Himal and from the Mera Peak we can observe the marvelous view of renowned mountains such as Barunche, Kunchanjunga, Makalu to the eastside as well as Everest, Cho-Oyu, Khang Thega, Ama- Dablam to another. We can finish our climbing in one day that means we can go to the top and return to base camp in same day.
Itinerary
Day 01 : Pick up from Airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu and getting ready for the trip.
Day 03 : Flight to Lukla (2800m) .
Day 04 : Lukla to Chutenga (3350m) Camp.
Day 05 : Chutenga to over Zatre la pass overnight at Chatrarbu (4340m)
Day 06 : Chatrabu to Kothe (3700m) Camp.
Day 07 : Kothe to Thagnak (4356m) Camp.
Day 08 : Thagnak Rest for Acclimatization Camp.
Day 09 : Thangak to Khare (4900m) Camp.
Day 10 : Khare to Mera La (5200m) For Glacier training & back to khare
Day 11 : Khare to Mera High Camp (5800m) .
Day 12 : High Camp to Mera Summit (6421m) & return back to Khare
Day 13 : Khare to Kothe (3700m) .
Day 14 : Kothe to Chatrabu Camp (4340m) .
Day 15 : Chatrabu to Lukla overnight in Lodge (2800m) Lodge.
Day 16 : Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 17 : Kathmandu/ Sightseeing/ Shopping.
Day 18 : Transfer to International Airport and Departure
