Khumbakarna / Jannu (7,710 m) Expedition

Jannu mountain also known as Mt. Kumbhakarna 7.710 m (25,295 ft.) is located 11 km to the West of the summit of Kanchenjunga in Eastern part of Nepal in Kanchanjunga Coservation Area. This Name Was derived from the name of a giant kumbahakarna. It is a very difficult peak, with a summit pyramid that is steep on all sides. The first ascended route is difficult, although not extreme, route up the Southeast Ridge, from the Yamatari Glacier. Neighboring peak Jannu East, 7468m, was unclimbed as of 1997. On the climbing side, no experience is necessary, however you must be familiar with alpine environments and must understand the risks that camping and climbing above the snowline pose.
