Kanchenjunga 8,586 m Expedition
Mountain Kanchenjunga 8,586 m is in Kanchenjunga Conservation Area in the Eastern side of Nepal. The third highest mountain in the world Mt. Kanchenjunga ( 8585 m / 28,169 ft ) . Kanchenjunga means the Five treasures of snows . It has five separate peaks and four of them are above 8,450 m / 27, 720 ft. Yalulg khang is the second highest among five. It is also the name of himalayan range which contains twelve more peaks over 7000 meters and some 33 peaks over 6000 meter. A British expedition team , Joe Brown and George Band had made first successful ascent to this kanchan junga in 25 may 1955. Later Japanese expedition team also had summated to this Yalungkahng, the second peak of Kanchanjunga and the expedition to the top of the this mountain . This Kanchanjunga offers the great experience of climbing.
Itinerary
Day 01 : Pick up from Airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu, sightseeing
Day 03 : Attend Briefing and receive permit for mountaineering.
Day 04 : Flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar
Day 05 : Biratnagar to Taplejung (2300m) fly & trek to Purumba (1980m) or direct chatter flight Kathmandu to Taplejung.
Day 06 : Purumba to Chirawa (1190m) 7 hrs
Day 07 : Chirawa to Sokathum (1640m) 7 hrs
Day 08 : Sokathum to Amjilassa (2500m) 6:30 hrs
Day 09 : Amjilassa to Yanza (2700m) 7 hrs.
Day 10 : Yanza to Ghunsa (3500m) 5 hrs.
Day 11 : Rest daya at Ghunsa (for Acclimatization).
Day 12 : Ghunsa to Kambachen (4000m) 6 hrs
Day 13 : Kambachen to Lonack (4790m) 6 hrs
Day 14 : Lonack to Pang pema (Kanchanjunga Base Camp) (5140m) 5:30hrs Camp.
