Kanchanjunga Trek

Kanchanjunga is towards eastern part on Nepal close to the Sikkim State of India. This region was opened for trekking in 1988. This trek takes you to the kanchanjunga conservation area project (KCAP) . this region is home of Nepali tribe Limbu and Rai so it is also good destination for studying their tradition and culture. This trek Starts after flying to Taplejung from Kathmandu and the trek trail follows the route of Ghunsa and Khanchanjunga  base camp. Khabur peak , Merra peak, Thankonama peak, Sharphu peak are some of the peaks of this region and Khanchanjunga , Jannu / Kumbakharna, Khangchen are the main mountains. We have prepared here 25 days trip program, which offers very good chance of seeing preserved wild lifes, very beautiful scenery of attractive mountains and pure traditonal culture and  daily life stayle of local people.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Airport Pick up transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu to Biratnagar flight stay over night at hotel.
Day 03 : From Biratnagar fly to Taplejung than trek to Purumba (1980m).
Day 04 : Trek to Chirawa (1190m).
Day 05 : Trek to Sokathum (1640m).
Day 06 : Trek to Amjilassa (2500m).
Day 07 : Trek to Yanza (2700m).
Day 08 : Trek to Ghunsa (3500m).
Day 09 : Rest day in Ghunsa
Day 10 : Trek to Kambachen (4000m).
Day 11 : Trek to Lonack (4790m).
Day 12 : Trek to Pang pema (Kanchanjunga Base Camp). (5140m).
Day 13 : Rest day atPang pema (5140m).
Day 14 : Trek back to Kambachen (4000m).
Day 15 : Trek to Ghunsa (3500m).
Day 16 : Trek to Sinion Phedi (4200m).
Day 17 : Trek to Tsaran (3870m) via Mirgini-La (4600m).
Day 18 : Trek to Torontang (3410m).
Day 19 : Trek to Yamphudin (1690m).
Day 20 : Trek to Kesawa (1960m).
Day 21 : Trek to Lali Kharka (2100m).
Day 22 : Trek back to Taplejung (2300m).
Day 23 : From Taplejung fly back to Kathmandu via Biratnagar
Day 24 : Kathmandu free day.
Day 25 : Transfer to International Airport and Departure.
