Gokyo Trek

This is the trek to the high himalayan wetland area, which takes you to the site of few himalayan lakes named Gokyo. It one of the best treks to the Khumbu region in Sagarmatha National Park. Probably the highest national park in the world. The trek start after flying to Lukla and trail follows the trekking route via Namche bazar, Phortse Thanga, Gokyo valley ( the wetland area) and Cho-La pass ,which offers spectacular view of Mt. Everest and other many mountains and also the chance of visiting some old bhuddhist monasteries and observe local Sherpa Culture and Nepal's himalayas life style.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Pick up from the Airport, transfer to hotel
Day 02 : Kathmandu - Lukla by flight & trek to phakding (2652m) (4 hours)
Day 03 : Phakding to Namche bazaar (3446m) (6 hours).
Day 04 : Acclimitization at Namche Bazaar
Day 05 : Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga (3500m) (5 hours).
Day 06 : Phortse Thanga to Dole (4200m) (3:30 hours).
Day 07 : Dole to Machherma (4410m) (3:30 hours).
Day 08 : Machhermo to Gokyo (4750m) (4 hours).
Day 09 : Gokyo to Gokyo Ri (5360m) & Trek to Thangna (4700m) (3 hours)
Day 10 : Thangna to chola pass O/V in Dzongla (4843m) (7 to 8 hrs.).
Day 11 : Dzongla to Gorackshep (5150m) (6 to 7hrs).
Day 13 : Gorackshep to EBC overnight in Gorackshep (7 hours).
Day 14 : Gorackshep Kalapathar View & Trek to Dingboche (4413m) (6 hours).
Day 15 : Dingboche to Tengboche (3870m) (6 hours).
Day 16 : Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3446m) (6 hours).
Day 17 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800m) (7 to 8 hours).
Day 18 : Lukla to Kathmandu by flight overnight in Hotel.
Day 19 : Sight seeing in Kathmandu
Day 20 : Departure from Kathmandu
